New Year, New Attitude

Winter is here at Wild Mountain Botanicals. The ground is covered in snow. Our lavender may or may not be a snack for the local deer. Our bees are wintering well.

The picture to the left is sunrise on a snowy day in our backyard.

Several changes have happened in my professional life this year that will impact Wild Mountain Botanicals in the future.

Wild Mountain Botanicals has always been a hobby business but I hope to make it much more. I have resigned as the Dean of the Jandoli School of Communication at St. Bonaventure University so that I may focus on being an associate professor. That also allows more time to attend to Wild Mountain Botanicals.

I look forward to serving my loyal customers in a better way and to welcoming new customers.

What to expect in 2018......

I mentioned the bees above. I have already gotten honey from my brother to use in my products like the lip balm and facial polish. I have used the wax in the lip balm, skin repair cream and replenishing face cream. I also plan to try my hand at candles this year. Our hope is that we are able to use our own harvested honey and wax. And if all goes well, expand the hives!

Look for candles in the same wonderful scents as our other products. All candles will be scented with our essential oils so they will smell just as they should - like lavender, like citrus, like birch, to name a few.

I have also gotten wonderful feedback on the roller balls. Right now they are used as natural remedies but I hope to expand to include scents that you may wear as you would a perfume - without the alcohol!

This blog will receive regular updates as will our social media channel. Right now I will use Facebook regularly but look for me to expand to other outlets.

I value feedback so let me know how you like the products, how you use them, what you would like to see in the future. I will see what I can do!

Happy new year to everyone. Here's to a 2018 of your own creation.
